I am a 24 years old young adult, searching for meaning, purpose, and a calling in this world. As a Christian, my first year out of school lead me to the Winston-Salem Fellows program, where the emphasis was on faith and work. Currently, I find myself having been called to the Young Adults in Global Missions (YAGM) program, supported and run through the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). A host family and site placement awaits in Tanzania, where I hope to teach, and enter into meaningful relationships with the people in Arusha. The goal is to discern what meaningful work, reimagined as a vocational calling, might look like once I come home, while also investing in people where I am.
